What direction are we taking?

Are we saying we want to be "free" by breaking the rules?

Or are we saying we try to be "free" by distancing ourselves from God and others?

We never really discussed... just wondering

I'm still awaiting inspiration. We've talked about how running from God's ways in search of "freedom" leaves us more bound up and tight and less free. I'm liking the idea you brought up through Abstract Song, that we can't comprehend God's love for us, and run away from it, even though we know we need it. We are messed up!

I woke up this morning thinking of Shawshank Redemption. I haven't seen it in some time, but I remember Morgan Freeman, not wanting to be free because he was scared of it. Also the room where they went, the half-way house, where that guy killed himself because he didn't know how to be free. It seems like something could be in that movie. I'll rent it and see, if you all think that could work, or if you remember it better than I.

I never saw it, but it sounds interesting.

How could you of all people not seen that movie?! I can't believe it. It's one of the best movies of all times, especially for guys!

I know, I think I was 12 when that came out. LOL

For the record... from the youngest person here... Shawshank Redemption is one of my personal favorites.
