I didn't connect with this one. The chorus works, but the rest is hard for me to get. Help me see the light!

I see it as kind of a conversation from us to God.

We feel like we can't measure up to the amount of love and grace God offers us, so we're wishing He'd just leave us alone. It's like we're haunted by His love, but we don't think enough of ourselves to allow it into our lives.

In this way the "Freedom" we seek is actually freedom from our own insecurities and self hatred, although the way we express it is to try and break free from God.

And the freedom God offers us is grace that can overcome all our self doubts.

Maybe it's a little abstract...

Actually, I love that point. That we are running from His love, don't feel like we deserve it. That definitely helps me warm up to the song. I do think abstract is a good word for it. LOL

Just a thought. I like the song, but for a change could we do this on the piano with Michelle playing and singing it alone. I think it would sound amazing that way and it would be a change from the praise band doing it and different from the standard guitar songs? Also, can we put together some kind of visual photo slide show to go along with it, with the words coming through at strategic parts?

Is there a way to run the lyrics over the slideshow in mediashout?

We're using Easyworship, and yes. However, if it is pre-timed with the music, wouldn't it make more sense to just put the lyrics on the graphic while making the slideshow?

Yes, but if you're singing will you be able to tell if you're singing at the same rate as the video? Since you can't see it from the stage?
